Cappadocia & Cilicia Tour From Adana

Day 1 : Istanbul, Adana, Varda Bridge, Tarsus, St. Paul Church & Well, Mersin. Overnight in Mersin
Meet & greet Istanbul and transfer to Istanbul Airport for Cilicia & Cappadocia Tour. 08:00 flight to Adana. 09:25 upon arrival Adana Airport drive to Varda Bridge, with our deluxe minibus (approx. 30 minutes journey). Varda Bridge, located in the Karaisalı district of Adana, was built by the German Philipp Holzman company between 1907-1912 within the scope of the Baghdad Railway, one of the most important projects of the last period of the Ottoman Empire. The bridge, which is 99 meters high and 172 meters long, is located on 4 main pillars. After visit drive to Tarsus. When arrive to Tarsus, visit St. Paul Church Museum,Tarsus Grand Mosque, Tarsus Roman Ancient Road. Day 2 : Korykos, Kizkalesi, Kanytelis. Overnight in Mersin
After breakfast at hotel depart for Korykos Tour. Upon arrival visit Korykos Castle. The Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia erected Korykos Castle on previous fortifications in the 12th century. After numerous modifications and rearrangements, the castle took its present form in the 13th century. After then see Kizkalesi (Maiden Castle). Castle built on rocks 200 meters from the coast, was intended to safeguard the bay from enemy assaults by establishing the sea castle as a first control point. After lunch break at Narlikuyu (Fisherman Village) at fish restaurant visit Kanytelis Ancient City (Kanlidivane). It means “bloody crazy”. It may refer to the red color of the surrounding soil. The name may also refer to a dreadful legend according to which the criminals had been executed by throwing into the sinkhole during Roman times. Return to Mersin. Day 3 : Hatay, Old Antioch Antakya. Overnight in Antakya
After breakfast at hotel drive to Hatay (Antakya) (approx. 2,5-hour journey a view of ancient cilicia and east mediterranean coasts). At noon arrive to Antakya (Antioch). After lunch, we will visit the famous Antakya Mosaic Museum. first church of the Christian World St. Pierre Church. Return city center and see the Ortodox, Chatolic churches as well as the mosques and the Synagogue line up in the same Street. These historical temples are witnes of brotherhood in Antakya. Day 4 : Samandag, Titus Tunnel, Vakifli & Hidirbey Villages. Overnight in Antakya
After breakfast at hotel depart for Titus Tunnel. The Titus Tunnel is a Roman engineering marvel.During the reign of Emperor Vespasian (69-79 AD), the Roman governors of Seleucia Pieria (Samandag), the port city for Antioch ad Orontes (Antakya), decided to divert a river. They put Roman legionnaires, sailors and prisoners to work cutting a channel along and through the rock for about 1.4 km. After visit Titus Tunnel drive to Vakifli Village which is still inhabited by Armenians today. We see the village the church. Visit Hidirbey Village (Moses Tree). Enjoy a Turkish coffee or drink from the “Water of Immortality” fountain beneath this 3,000-year-old riverside tree – believed to have sprouted from Moses’ staff. Measuring 7.5 metres wide and 17 metres tall. Afternoon transfer to Altinozu, southern province of Antakya. Visit Tokacli Olive Oil Museum and Maria Ana Orodox Church. Return to hotel. Day 5 : Anavarza, Kozan, Sis Castle. Overnight in Adana
After breakfast at hotel depart for depart to Anvarza. Upon arrival to Anavarza we visit Anavarza castle which was built by Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia. Later we drive to Kozan (Sis) and visit The Armenian Cilica Monastery ruins, Kirkor House (Yaverin Konak) and we drive to Adana. Check-in to hotel. After free time at hotel, transfer to local restaurant for dinner. Overnight in 5* Sheraton Grand Hotel Adana.

Day 6 : Adana, Derinkuyu Underground City, Cappadocia. Overnight in Adana
After breakfast at hotel depart for Adana city tour. Visit many interesting and historical places of Adana city. Sabanci Merkez Camii (English: Sabancı Central Mosque) in Adana is the second largest mosque in Turkey. The stone bridge (Tas kopru) is one of the oldest bridge in the world which is still being used. which was built in the Roman Era. Great clock (Buyuk saat) this monument was built in 1882 by the governor of Adana, kettles market (Kazancilar carsisi) was built in about 1519, the surrundrings of thie bazaar is very famous places such as, old markets and the bazaar hamam (Turkish bath) and hotels with historical buildings. Bebekli Church (Saint Paul Church) built by Armenian of Adana in 19 C. After visits drive to Cappadocia with our deluxe vehicle (approx. 2,5-hour journey a view of the Taurus Mountains). Afternoon arrive to Derinkuyu Underground City, one of the best preserved and deepest underground cities in Cappadocia. Derinkuyu is 55 meters deep and has 8 levels open to visitors. After spending about 1 hour in Derinkuyu Underground City, Check-in to the hotel. Dinner time transfer for Cappadocia Turkish Night Entertainment. Day 7 : Full Day Cappadocia Tour, Overnight in Cappadocia
After breakfast at hotel. Full Day Cappadocia tour starts with a visit to Goreme Open Air Museum where you can see the world’s most important Byzantine cave churches. Goreme Open Air Museum is listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Our next stop will be Çavusin Old Greek Village will see the old houses and drive to Pashabagi also called the Monks Valley because Christian hermits chose to locate hermit cells and churches in these three-headed pinnacles. The last stop before lunch will be Devrent Valley, also known as “Imagination Valley“, this is the most surreal-looking landscape. We will have lunch in Avanos in one of the local restaurants. After lunch continue to Avanos is the town of traditional pottery art, thus, we will visit one of the family work-shops in Avanos to have some information about the pottery and have a kick-wheel-pottery demonstration after lunch we drive to Urgüp 3 beatiues symbolic fairy chimneys and vine tasting in vine factory and We will end the day at Uchisar Castle, which is the highest point of Cappadocia and the view from the top is just brilliant.
